            though tatsu was not the most sociable, she couldn’t pass up the opportunity to come watch dinah perform. she smiles at her former teammate, though she has to crane her neck slightly to look up at her. even in heeled shoes, tatsu remains one of the shortest occupants in the room. situations such as these usually made tatsu uncomfortable  –  crowded spaces, surrounded by unfamiliar faces as she stands weaponless. though  (  and she wouldn’t tell dinah this  )  the necklace and bracelets she was wearing could prove fine weapons should she need them.

               it was not that dinah had been unhappy working with the birds of prey or even the justice league, but the weight of what they were? it had felt so all-consuming. it took up so much of her life and while being a ‘savior’ had it’s perks…? it also had it’s pitfalls, the parts where people forget how much damage lay under the public veneer, the facades they all wore so that people in gotham and around the world felt safer… or at least thought their heroes were stable. singing was something so very freeing to her and she’d stay on that path for as long as that feeling might last.
