a callused hand flattens over disheveled trench lapel,
feather touch for such a dangerous hand. his brow lo-
wers if just in the slightest, an attempt to express the
intricacies of human emotion. ( angels feel. they always
have. but the sensation is raw and dramatic, and dies
against stone flesh. )

please don’t touch me. ‘

castiel is aware the gesture–slight and non-intrusive

her tap of his shoulder while innocent, she understood to some? as much could prove to be easy irritation. truth be told, she didn’t blame castiel for the sentiment he voiced — she herself rarely liked to be touched, let alone by a stranger… which was exactly what she was to the man before her; well, he was an angel, but she hardly knew that.

❛ sorry, just, uh… all quiet like that, i was sure you might’ve been in some kind of shock. ❜

hesitance shifted into the slow workings of a half smile, hoping he wasn’t upset or offended by her concern. not every took well to a stranger’s concern.       ❛  you alright, buddy? ❜
