_{harley pursed her lips together while eyeing the woman within the car. as the window came rolling down, the doctor couldn’t help but bend over a bit. without the city’s lights reflecting against the window, harleen quinzel could get a better look of the woman inside. smudged make-up and ripped fishnets that only seemed to ENHANCE the stranger’s beauty. harley put a hand on her hip, and arched one of her eyebrows, doing her best impression of what she believed to be a “ C O O L   K I D ”, despite her cardigan and bleeding feet.   ❛ — yeaaah, pretty sure i’ve seen ya on a stage somewhere. ya got that whole I’M IN A BAND vibe. i got a good eye for this sorta stuff, ya know? ❜  harley said while giving a long cocky nod. it was only when a couple of clowns bended the corner that her common sense kicked back in.}

_{there was no time to think; harleen leapt forward through the car’s window, HALF of her landing clumsily on the stranger’s lap while her kicking legs still hanged outside of the vehicle    (  a humiliating display harleen would quickly forget  ). ❛ DRIVE, DRIVE, DRIVE!!  ❜  dr. quinzel shrieked, trying to make her way onto the empty seat next to the other blonde. she wasn’t READY to die at the hands of a psychotic clown gang !! there was still so much for harley to do !! so many unscratched points on her bucket list !! like writing a book on the joker, becoming famous, marrying guy kopski, having kids with guy kopski, divorcing guy kopski, getting an edgy cool mom fringe, traveling across spain with two friends, DITCHING friends, getting into a scandalous polyamorous relationship with javier bardem and penelope cruz while in barcelona, realizing she’s actually scarlett johanson in a woody allen movie and that she got the part merely because he wants to PORK her …  you know, ANY LITTLE GIRL’S DREAM.}

                 something told her that her long night was just about to get longer as the interaction with harleen proceeded it’s current course.

                  it wasn’t that harleen’s assumptions of dinah being ‘in a band’ were wrong or that she was in any way opposed to helping the other if she truly needed it or that the air of familiarity was something that wither of them could ignore. it wasn’t that dinah had hung it up on the hero biz so much so that she wouldn’t help someone in distress… it was more-so that everything about every aspect of this felt off to her. she couldn’t place the feeling other than of one in her gut that simply put her shy of on edge. and just as her lips pursed and her mind hit play on the moment before her, dropping out of it’s analyzations and idle gut feelings? there was a frantic woman climbing into her car and across her lap.

                 ❛ … the fuck m’i s’posed to drive like this —? ❜     stress was easy on her tongue as the woman squirmed across her lap towards the passenger seat. after a few moments of the other’s movement, she managed to get her arm free enough to reach for the key to rev and turn over the engine. a fleeting thought of ‘what in the hell am i getting myself into here?’ passed through her mind as hesitation breathed before putting the car into drive. she figured regrets would be down the road not far, but with soft screech she peeled away from the curb; not speeding yet, but certainly not slow motion.     ❛ here’s the deal: i’ll drive you somewhere, but you gotta gimme two things or i’m gonna boot your ass to the curb. one? your name. two? what the fuck is going on and… two b? why are you running like something is chasing you? ❜
